A mosaic of talent and local service centers

Les vergers Boiron continues its international development, a mosaic composed of local customer service centers on three continents, and partnerships with talented chefs.

For over 75 years now, Les vergers Boiron has established a global presence, one step at a time. Today the company is world leader in its field. This long-term development policy has enabled the family business to generate 80% of its sales through exports to 80 countries, while remaining firmly grounded in the fruit-growing Valence region of France. “Our growth has always been based on two pillars: close relations with our customers and a tight network of people, talents and skills. Together, they allow us to progress in our know-how and increase our brand recognition,” declares Alain Boiron, Managing Director.

Growing roots to bear fruit

To reinforce its expanding commercial and operational network, Les vergers Boiron inaugurated a commercial office in Hong Kong in September of this year. The goal of this latest move is to coordinate the actions of its marketing and sales teams in the Asia-Pacific region, enabling them to achieve the company’s very ambitious goals.

This new operational unit will enable sales teams and regional heads in Asia to work even more closely with their customers and improve local services.

An ecosystem of talents

To consolidate the company’s other pillar of international development, the Brand Ambassadors team was recently extended and today has 20 active members.

Newcomers include Lloyd Hamon, owner of a French patisserie in Guangzhou where he works with his Chinese wife, Kiwi (reflected in the name of their shop: Chéris). Lloyd and Kiwi both trained in France and specialize in French pastries and a few Italian dolci (tiramisu is China’s favorite dessert) for their mainly local clientele. Lloyd’s creations have been honored with the Best Dessert Award of the magazine That’s PRD (covering Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou) and the Best Tiramisu Award at the Canton Food Competition.

The other new Brand Ambassador, Marc Balaguer, is a 25-year-old prodigy based in Barcelona, where he directs the Escribà Pastry Academy. He was the Spanish representative at the 2016 Mondial des Arts Sucrés in Paris and is now preparing for the Coppa del mondo della Gelateria, to be held in Rimini in January 2018. A family feast

Marc and Lloyd met with several other prestigious chefs from July 10th to 12th at the company headquarters in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère to discover Les vergers Boiron’s latest new products.

These gatherings are essential for our team spirit and international development,” says Denis Boursier, Business Development Director. “They allow us to have an extremely valuable exchange with our chefs, where we learn a great deal about current trends and market demand throughout the world. It’s also an excellent opportunity for our R&D teams to test their new creations and to get direct feedback on innovative recipes, with chefs working in workshops on site. But, above all, these encounters enable us to affirm that we all belong to the great international Les vergers Boiron family.”
